The Triumph Triple Challenge Series
SW Group Logistics is proud to be associated with the prestigious Triumph Triple Challenge Series. This one-make series, run over 27 races, allows riders to compete on a level playing field as all use the stunning Triumph Daytona 675 motorcyle. All bikes are evenly matched, prepared to the same, strictly enforced, regulations so that no rider can benefit from costly performance enhancements.
The Championship, run in conjunction with the Bernsee Racing Club, features nine rounds on some of the best-known racing tracks across the UK: Donington, Brands Hatch and Silverstone to name a few. Each round comprises qualifying and two races.
In the 2008 series, 38 riders line up on the grid to do battle for the Triumph Triple Challenge TDG Cup. The series attracts some of the most gifted young riders in the country but also, and uniquely for a series of this kind, is open to older participants.
This year’s racing has been incredibly close, with the highest number of different winners in any one-make series in the UK.

About Wayne Martin
Wayne Martin, aged 27, has been riding motorbikes since he was just 4 years old. Clearly a motor bike fanatic, he began his racing career as a teenager on 125cc’s and has not looked back, graduating through the cc divisions and winning many a club championship. It was his win last year, in the Crewe & Cheshire championship, coupled with an excellent sixth place in the Isle of Man Southern 100, which convinced him to take it up another level and approach companies for sponsorship to secure his participation in the 2008 Triumph Triple Challenge Series.
SW is proud to be Wayne’s main sponsor. The backing it provides has enabled him to purchase the race package necessary to enter the Triumph Triple Challenge competition. For further sponsorship opportunities, contact Wayne Martin or Lee Bushell on 01952 299939.
Race reports and results so far …
Donington – 22-23 March – Crashed out of the first race with a spectacular high side, sustaining cracked ribs and badly injured ligaments in his right wrist!
Cadwell Park – 26-27 April – Still struggling with his injuries from the previous race, Wayne managed to get his bike around both races to finish x and x respectively.
Brands Hatch – 10-11 May – In a brave overtaking manoeuvre in the wet, Wayne crashed out again in the first race.
Silverstone – 24-25 May – Wayne finished a respectable 11th in the first race, after qualifying towards the back of the grid, but came from 24th place to 5th in the final race of the day.
A fantastic achievement at this rain-soaked meeting … and still feeling the effects of the spills earlier in the season!
Of his experience so far, Wayne says, “It has been a difficult start to the Championship and I am disappointed to have crashed out twice. It has been tough making the transition from the regional to national racing scene but I feel I’m gaining in experience and confidence with every outing and am looking forward to posting a decent performance at Cadwell.”
